Re: Event: The Soleil House
...Eve was okay, and the floor was not actually lava. That, that was much better than it could have been. When Isabelle confirmed that the floor was actually safe, that it neither burned nor turned viscous, he let himself relax, let himself feel the flicker of humor at the sheer absurdity of it all that had been buried under the fear.
He took a cautious step, and then another, feeling faint warmth rise up from the floor, and couldn’t help but grin down at his feet- it looked cool, looked like something out of a movie. He was walking on lava.
“Neat,” he said, the word quiet and pleased.

"Just as glad I ain't gonna have to climb all over," Doc snorted. "Not exactly graceful, me."

"Oh, fuck you," Riesy said when Tanner was adorably impressed by the nonlethal floor.
"What are you talking about, Doc, you're a dreamboat in action!" Riesy hollered, then rolled shiz knees back over shiz shoulders to kick up from the floor. "Okay. Onward and upward. Where we headed, Izz, did you say four, thirteen, twenty-seven?"

Doc rolled his eyes at Riesy's comment and headed across the lava floor.

Isabelle winced at Riesy's flexibility. "Third floor's where they keep the safe. And I'm sure that's not the passcode," she grumbled.

The Second Floor
At the top of the stairs the group realizes there isn’t another flight of stairs leading upwards. They emerge into a hallway, whitewashed with a flowered runner covered in plastic, of course, to protect the rug and pastel beach scenes framed in driftwood decorate the walls. It creaks noisily underfoot. The air smells faintly of lavender and dust. The door of the closest room stands open.
As the group carefully makes their way down the hall they can see the closest room is pretty large. Along one wall, tall windows let in the midday sunshine in panes of bright white light that catch the dust motes floating in the air. The other three walls are lined with empty shelves, two arm chairs and a long narrow table with a little garden landscape claim the centre of the room sitting on top of a round braided rug. There’s dust on the shelves and the table and in the dust clean spaces as if things had recently rested there and been removed. If one were to look closely one would see small shoeprints and tiny pawprints in the dust.
A clinking noise alerts the party they aren't alone.
Advancing from the rear is an army of about forty tchotchkes, angel statues winging their way viciously toward the group, a unit of ten gnomes, eight inches tall and armed with garden tools march steadily onward. It shouldn’t be possible for a ceramic fairy to look menacing but the twelve-inch tall, purple winged creature is exactly that. A parade of animals brings up the rear, pacing and snarling and growling as they approach the stunned group.

Re: Event: The Soleil House
Eve puffed up, fur bristling all over at the sight of the incoming attackers, turning into quite the impressive bottle brush. <Look out!> she said, hissing and spitting aloud at the same time. There was no way she was going to give these things time to get in the first hit- not after what happened with the bugs.
So without any warning at all, she launched herself down at the group of small, ceramic animals, perfect prey size and absolutely the ones she knew Doc wouldn't want to harm. She missed the closest animal by a few inches but smashed paws-first into a tiny fawn, shattering it upon impact. She made another leap to clear the sharp rubble, and landed a foot away. Hopefully, that would catch their attention. She arched her back, hissing again.
[(Eve's attack Stats)
(Attack 2 d10 + 9) 2, 8
11, 17
(damage 2d6 - 2 [min 1] 4, 6
2, 4]

Lilybeth rolls
5 + 7 (Intellect +2) : 12
"Jesus Christ on a pogo stick," Lilybeth muttered. She was seriously wigged--this was basically her pop culture nightmares come to life--a mixture of Toy Story gone horribly wrong, those creepy angels from Dr. Who, and the gnomes were definitely giving off a little bit of a Chucky vibe, even though they were tiny.
She started to edge away from the group--this didn't seem like a situation where her Trouble would be super helpful, but she could at least get out of the way and try to think. While dodging an aggressively swooping angel, she turned around and saw a bathroom behind her and to the right. Wait a minute, she thought, and dodged and hopped her way toward it. She pushed open the door, turned on the sink tap, and Eureka!

((Tanner's turn- Attack vs Angel (+2 Attack bonus against Flying for bat+baseball practice)
Attack: d10+Ath 8+8=16, HIT
Damage: d6+1 1+1=2, Angel Destroyed))
Startled, and decidedly alarmed by Eve's decision to throw herself into the middle of the pack of ceramics, Tanner pulled the bat from where he'd had it hooked awkwardly onto his harness, and swung, putting force behind it. He aimed for one of the small, white shapes floating above the ground, and a ceramic angel shattered apart with a bright chiming crack.
Bits of ceramic pelted the far wall and scattered on the wood floor.
((Tanner has destroyed 1 Angel. ))
