As Isabelle encourages the group to head out, Riesy is the first to reach the tiled path at the edge of the Hosiery section.  She takes a step forward, off of the carpet, and immediately sinks ankle deep.

You are now trying to leave what looks like a typical Target.  The aisles are tiled in white edged in 12” red tiles, with clusters of 4 red 16” tiles equally spaced down the length of the aisles in the middle, while carpeted areas hold all the items in the store on display shelves.

While you were able to move freely while you picked through items, now that you are attempting to actually exit the store, you get a nasty surprise. The white tiles, though they still look like linoleum, function like quicksand.

Stepping onto the white space will immediately result in sinking to your ankle. Three seconds will take you to your knees, ten to your waist. The red tiles and the grey carpet are solid areas that can be stepped on. The area between the check-out counter and the last grey swath of carpet is eight feet wide of almost all pristine white tiles with two red 12” tiles in front of each check-out lane approximately six feet away from the end of the grey carpet.

You may use any and all items in the store to get out.

Riesy is caught by the quicksand; make an Athletics: Escape roll- Riesy needs a 12 to pull free.
A critical failure (roll of natural 1) results in overbalancing and will leave Riesy sunk knee-deep.
