“So you’re the ones who’ve been tromping all over my house, ruining my things,” the old woman sneers, glaring at them with bright, crafty blue eyes.  “Didn’t your mothers teach you it was rude to come into someone’s home uninvited or is it that only the Troubled know about manners?”

Her knitting needles keep flashing even as she speaks. On the floor at her feet sits the plug for the record player despite the music coming out of the device.

Agatha Soleil may be in her eighties but this is her house, and she’ll be damned if she lets anyone in it to loot or wreck it as they please. She didn’t leave when her good for nothing sister did because this is her place. If she dies here then so be it.

Diplomacy Challenge:
The players must convince Agatha to give them the book.  To do so, the party must succeed for three rounds before five failures.

The initial rounds of Diplomacy will include Izzy, Riesy, Lilybeth, and Doc.  If Agatha’s attention is drawn to Eve or Tanner (or both), they will be drawn into the round and the challenge rating will go up.

For being from well-known Troubled families of good standing, Lilybeth and Riesy both receive a +3 to their Diplomacy (Interpersonal) checks.

Izzy and Doc presently receive no bonuses, though Izzy may apply her Bluff (Interpersonal) bonus for IC communication.

Round One: Players, roll 1d10 and add Interpersonal and any listed bonus.
Total Score Necessary to Succeed: 40

“I’m not your auntie youngster,” Agatha sets her knitting needles on the small table beside her to better glare at the boy, girl, who even knew these days with all the flannel and the bad haircuts the kids had decided were in fashion. “My family has better manners than to come into people’s homes and make demands of them about their music.” She got laboriously to her feet, the old bones weren’t what they used to be. That was alright though, her Trouble still worked fine.

“Well?” she demanded once she was standing. “Why are you all here, breaking into an old lady’s house and scaring her senseless?”
